My name is Alexander Graugaard Andersen and I work as a PTA in the R&D department at at Frese Metal and Steel Foundry, where I have been employed for 2.5 years. My work has evolved from primarily dealing with a focus on optimization and development.
I chose Frese as a workplace because I had heard very positive things about the company, and it turned out to be the right choice. A typical working day for me starts with me taking a walk throught the production to check the pulse on any challenges where I can contribute solutions. My main responsibilities span production engineering, optimization and project management, to ensure that we continuously improve our processes.
I am currently involved in an exciting project where we are working to make the company more sustainable. Specifically, it's about finding solutions that can make us fossil-free. Currently, we use gas in the melting hall to heat our moulding ladles, and we are working on replacing this with an electric ladle heater as an alternative. It's just one step along the way, but it shows how seriously Frese takes its responsibility for the environment.
