My name is Alexander Graugaard Andersen and I work as a PTA in the R&D department at at Frese Metal and Steel Foundry, where I have been employed for 2.5 years. My work has evolved from primarily dealing with tools for production to becoming more focused on production technology.
I chose Frese as a workplace because I had heard many positive things about the company and it turned out to be the right choice. A typical workday for me begins with a walk through the production to check if there are any challenges that I can help solve. My main responsibilities lies within production technology and project management.
I'm currently involved in an exciting project, where we're working to make the company more sustainable. Specifically, it involves finding a solution that can make us fossil-free. At present we use gas in the melting hall to heat our casting ladles and we are working on replacing this with an electric ladle heater. This is just one step along the way, but it shows how seriously Frese takes our responsibility for the environment and how we are constantly working to become greener.
