Information about data protection in connection with Frese’s marketing services

What personal data is collected, for what purpose and on what legal basis?

Frese collects the personal data you provide to us when you subscribe to Frese’s marketing services. This data may include first and last name, email address, phone number, country, company name, related company information, area of interest and job role (‘personal data’).

Frese uses your personal data to enhance your user experience and to send relevant, targeted information and marketing communication about Frese’s news, tools, applications, products, events and promotions to you via email, telephone or letter.

To meet the above aims, Frese stores your personal data for marketing services and registration in our customer database.

The legal basis for processing your personal data in order to distribute newsletters is your consent (article 6, section 1(a)) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (‘the GDPR’).

Your personal data may only be processed for other purposes where this is necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (e.g. disclosure to courts or criminal justice authorities), where you have consented to the given processing, or where such processing is lawful under the applicable legislation. If processing takes place for other purposes, we may provide you with further information about this.

You are under no obligation to give your consent to receiving marketing communication and the associated processing of your personal data. If you do not consent to this, you will not be able to receive the marketing communication.

Information about the controller and the recipients of the personal data

Frese Holding A/S, Sorøvej 8, 4200 Slagelse, Denmark (‘Frese’) is the controller of your personal data and responsible for data security and processing of the personal data in line with the specific purposes above.

Frese may share your personal data with third parties who will act as processors for Frese when processing your personal data for the purposes specified above. The following processors will be used:

Retention period

Data collected for the above purposes will only be retained as long as this is necessary for the purposes specified above, i.e. for as long as you have not withdrawn your consent to receive marketing communication.

If legal proceedings are initiated, your personal data may be stored until the case has been closed, including any appeals. Your personal data will then be deleted or archived.

Your personal data will not be stored in a personally identifiable form for longer than is deemed necessary by Frese in order to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or processed, or as stipulated in applicable legislation on data retention periods.

Your rights

If you have given consent to the processing of your personal data, you may withdraw consent at any time with immediate effect. Such withdrawal will in no way affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

Right of access: You may have the right to receive confirmation from us as to whether your personal data is being processed, and request access to the data if so. Such access includes knowing the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data involved, and the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data has or will be disclosed. However, this is not an absolute right, and the rights and interests of other natural persons may impose limits on your right of access.

You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal data being processed. For any additional copies that you request, we may charge a reasonable fee based on the administrative costs.

Right to rectification:

You may have the right to have incorrect personal data concerning you rectified. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you may have the right to complete incomplete personal data, for example by submitting a supplementary declaration.

Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’):

Under certain circumstances, you may have the right to have personal data about yourself deleted by us, and we may be obligated to delete such personal data.

Right to restriction of processing:

Under certain circumstances, you may have the right to have the processing of your personal data by us restricted. In this case, the given information will be marked and only processed by us for certain purposes.

Right to object:

In certain circumstances, for reasons relating to your particular situation, or if the personal data is processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you may have the right at any time to object to the processing, and we may be obligated to cease processing your personal data.

Right to data portability:

In certain circumstances, you may have the right to receive personal data about yourself in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit this information to another entity without hindrance from us.

Changes to the privacy notice

We reserve the right to change or supplement this privacy notice at any time. Where such changes to the privacy notice are deemed to be material, you will be expressly informed about them, for example by email.
