Project Overview and Details
Dubai is pulling out all the stops in preparation for EXPO 2020 – the first World EXPO ever to be held in this region. 190 countries will participate in the World EXPO and 25 million people are expected to visit the event over the six-month period.
The theme of EXPO 2020 is: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, and one of three subthemes is Sustainability, which embraces alternative sources of food, water, and clean and renewable energy, and encourages us all to reassess how we can preserve the planet.
The Sustainability Pavilion comprises a triangular plot of 180m long by between 75m and 200m wide. The pavilion will produce 4GWh of electricity a year through solar panels. Once the EXPO ends, the pavilion itself will be recycled as a center for science for children.

Solution
The Sustainability Pavilion is one of the highlights of EXPO 2020 with its focus on the importance of energy efficiency and sustainable solutions for the future.
Frese has supplied 207 Frese OPTIMA Compact pressure independent control valves, adhering to the fact that the valves provide very high energy savings with its equal percentage characteristics. The equal percentage characteristics performance of Frese valves are tested by BSRIA.
