The projects mark a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to provide energy-saving device (ESD) solutions to the maritime industry.
In July 2024, we reached an agreement with BW Epic Kosan on retrofitting two of their vessels, as well as options for four additional vessels in 2025. Our sales forces and external partners around the world have been experiencing increased demand for the Frese FUELSAVE® System, which delivers significant pump energy savings in the engine room cooling water systems.
We are currently in close dialogue with a considerable number of shipowners and operators to whom the Frese FUELSAVE® System is a very appealing solution, as it:
Our dialogue with BW Epic Kosan centered around important themes such as energy-saving devices, maintaining performance and compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. Ultimately, this very positive dialogue led to our collaboration. “We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to assist BW Epic Kosan in achieving energy reductions, resulting in a better CII rating”, says Mikkel Grøndal Kreutzfeldt, Frese Head of Sales for MEA & APAC.
From its headquarters in Singapore BW Epic Kosan owns and operates the world’s largest fleet of pressurized LPG carriers. The company is, among other things, committed to providing safe and sustainable transportation of gases.
“The first installation of the Frese FUELSAVE® System started in October 2024, which clearly shows that both BW Epic Kosan and Frese have a strong desire to get things done. We want to move forward. We went from fruitful dialogue to installation within a very short period. BW Epic Kosan is truly a forward thinking and innovative customer to work with”, says Mikkel Grøndal Kreutzfeldt.
Frese is both excited and proud to be allowed to assist BW Epic Kosan with their decarbonization ambitions and look forward to building a strong and long-term relationship with them. One that will benefit both companies, as well as the environment, by reducing energy consumption and emissions.
