Hvidovre Almennyttige Boligselskab (a social housing association) needed to replace two leaky heat exchangers in the company’s district heating station, which provides heating to 1,600 homes.
- I was told to call Frese and ask for advice on purchase and installation of heat exchangers. This surprised me, since I know Frese mainly for their valves. But they also deal in Alfa Laval heat exchangers, so I had come to the right place., says Peter Rasmussen, janitor at Hvidovre Almennyttige Boligselskab.
Frese’s sales engineer, Claus Madsen, consulted with Peter Rasmussen about the performance needs of the new heat exchangers. They were to replace two leaky and outdated exchancers, which had been installed in the 1950’s when the homes were built. Aside from the leakages, the exchangers also took up a lot of space.
-We had a great collaboration with Frese. They understood our needs and came back very quicky with an offer on two new exchangers. We accepted the offer and the solutions are now functioning without a hitch. It was a good process with great sparring, says Peter Rasmussen.
