Frese launches dynamic thermostatic radiator valve
With Frese RadCon we can now offer a complete product programme for the Buildings segment with a long range of the same benefits found in our other pressure independent valves
Frese RadCon simplifies radiator systems in several ways. As with all our products, it is easy to commission due to the automatic balancing in the system. It is simply a question of presetting the required flow in l/h – you do not even need to calculate KV values.
If the valves are installed in a system where the differential pressure does not exceed 70 kPa there is no need for further regulating valves, which minimizes investment and maintenance.
The valve itself is also very easy to maintain in case of clogging since the internals can be replaced.
Frese RadCon ensures high comfort for the end-users due to high precision temperature control. This is achieved by the pressure independent valves’ ability to prevent flow fluctuations in the radiator.
A complete package
With the addition of RadCon to Frese’s product portfolio we complete our product range which will give us an even stronger platform when we quote for projects in the Buildings segment.
The RadCon range consists of:
- Three different radiator valves, which allow for installation in all types of piping - a straight valve, an angle valve and a reverse angle valve.
- Two different lock shield valves, straight and angle, and a drain valve which can be installed for emptying the radiator.
- Two different thermostatic heads:
- One offers the functionality to open and close the valve in reference to the temperature in the room. The colder it is, the more the valve opens, the warmer, the more it closes.
- The other is an anti-frost thermostatic head, which will maintain a minimum temperature in the room in order to prevent frost and mould.
- A remote sensor which can help monitor the temperature in the most relevant part of the room in case the radiator is mounted in a less optimal location.
- A theft protection device for the thermostatic heads, which is mainly relevant if radiators are installed in hallways or stairways.
- A setting key for the pre-setting of the flow in the RadCon valves.
We are looking forward to working with our customers and to offering them an even broader portfolio in pressure independent valves.
